One of the nation's premier producers of fine aggregate for concrete, asphalt, and masonry projects. The primary provider of specification commercial sand in Middle Tennessee, Western Kentucky and Northern Alabama. Three floating plants recover, process, and load various gradations of fine aggregate into barges. Aggregate from owned and leased natural sand deposits in the lower Ohio River in Kentucky.

Sand used as a mix element:

  • mortar used for laying concrete blocks and brick used in residential and commercial building
  • concrete for highway and bridge construction
  • asphalt for paving roads
  • golf course construction

A fleet of 108 jumbo deck barges with combined carrying capacity of 125,000 tons travels over one-half billion ton miles per year.

  • Barges transport specification sand from the Ohio River to riverside storage and distribution yards.
  • Direct barge deliveries are made to large construction projects such as dams, bridges and highways.
  • Customer and contract trucks complete the transportation cycle.
